Full Name: ephrin B2
Background: Ephrin-B2 (the antigen to this antibody) is also known as Htk-L, LERK-5, NLERK-1 and ELF-2 and binds EphA4, EphB1, EphB2, EphB3, and EphB4. Ephrin-B2 can be detected on monocytes, mesangial cells, CD34+ stem cells (ref 1), bone marrow fibroblasts(ref 2), activated melanocytes and melanoma cells (ref 3), and pre-artery endothelial cells (ref 4). To date, at least 14 members of the Eph receptor family and a family of 8 ligands have been identified. Ligands of Eph family receptors are structurally related membrane-bound proteins that can be subdivided into two major subclasses, ephrin-A and ephrin-B. Ligands .
