Purification:
Full Name: epidermal growth factor receptor
Background: The oncoprotein EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor), also known as HER1 / ErbB1, is a member of ErbB family of cell surface receptor tyrosine kinases. This 170 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein is often associated with cancerogenesis, although its activation state is controlled at various levels including trafficking and degradation steps. Binding of receptor-specific ligands to the EGFR ectodomain results in formation of homodimeric or heterodimeric kinase-active complexes into which HER2 / ErbB2 is recruited as a preferred partner. Subsequent signaling cascades such as RAS/MAPK and PI3K/AKT pathways lead to cell proliferation and survival responses. Entrez Gene: 7p12
Synonyms: EGFR (phospho Y1173), EGFR (phospho Tyr1173), EGFR (pY1173), EGFR (pTyr1173), EGFR phospho Y1173, EGFR phospho Tyr1173, Phospho EGFR (Y1173), Phospho EGFR (Tyr1173), Phospho EGFR (pY1173), Phospho EGFR (pTyr1173)
Cellular Localization:
CAS NO: 634908-75-1
Product: Ganetespib
Host: Mouse
Clonality: Monoclonal
Isotype: IgG1
Immunogen: Synthetic phospho-peptide covering sequence around tyrosine 1173 of human EGFR.
Antigen Species: Human
Species Reactivity: Human
Conjugation: Unconjugated
Storage Buffer: Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide, approx. pH 7.4
Storage Instruction: Store at 2-8°C. Do not use after expiration date stamped on vial label. For long-term storage aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
Specificity: The full-length EGFR includes the 24 aa signal peptide that is cleaved during EGFR maturation. The Tyr1173 of mature EGFR is equivalent to Tyr1197 of uncleaved EGFR.
