Applications: GSA, IHC, IP, WB
Predicted Target Size:
Positive Controls: 3T3/A31 cell lysate. Add 2.5µl of 2-mercaptoethanol/100µl of lysate and boil for 5 minutes to reduce the preparation. Load 20µg of reduced lysate per lane for minigels.
Form Supplied: Liquid
Concentration: 1 mg/ml (Please refer to the vial label for the specific concentration)
Purification: Protein G purified
Full Name: zinc finger and BTB domain containing 33
Background: Transcriptional regulator with bimodal DNA-binding specificity. Binds to methylated CpG dinucleotides in the consensus sequence 5-CGCG-3 and also binds to the non-methylated consensus sequence 5-CTGCNA-3. May recruit the N-CoR repressor complex to promote histone deacetylation and the formation of repressive chromatin structures in target gene promoters. Contributes to the repression of target genes of the Wnt signaling pathway. May also activate transcription of a subset of target genes by the recruitment of CTNND2.
