Full Name: v-myc myelocytomatosis viral oncogene homolog 1, lung carcinoma derived (avian)
Background: Cellular DNA-binding proteins encoded by the c-myc genes. They are normally involved in nucleic acid metabolism and in mediating the cellular response to growth factors. Elevated and deregulated (constitutive) expression of c-myc proteins can cause tumorigenesis.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
Specificity: Using indirect immunofluorescence assay and ELISA, this monoclonal antibody showed positive reaction with lung adenocarcinoma, squamous cancer and small cell carcinoma. It is also positive to some human melanoma and other tumours. This antibody does not cross reacts with human adult normal tissues and fetal tissues.
